The Uranium One Scandal, Episode 51

Paul Manafort was a lobbyist known around Washington for operating on the shady fringes of an often sleazy business. As far back as 1992, his client list was filled with foreign authoritarians. This was before Manafort hooked up with Victor Yanukovych, Ukraine’s corrupt strongman and Putin’s puppet.

Mueller’s indictment seeks to nail Manafort on a multitude of counts ranging from money laundering to neglecting to register as an agent of foreign governments as far back as 2006. In eight years, nobody in Obama’s Justice Department ever happened to notice that Manafort had neglected to fill out paperwork required by federal law? The indictment says as far back as 2008, Manafort dodged millions of dollars in taxes through various schemes which were somehow undetectable until now.

The Manafort indictment says nothing about any Trump-Putin election collusion. It does, however, implicate Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign manager, and lobbyist, John Podesta.

According to the indictment, Manafort hired the Podesta Group to help him advocate for Ukrainian oligarch Victor Yanukovych. It also states that for helping Manafort do dirty work for Yanukovych, Podesta shared a $2 million fee with another firm, Mercury Public Affairs. One partner there is GOP strategist Mike DuHaime. He was chief political strategist for Gov. Chris Christie’s two successful campaigns. The Podesta Group and Mercury Public Affairs, like Manafort, neglected to register as agents for foreign entities. But, unlike Manafort, they haven’t been indicted. The Podesta firm’s client list includes the Business Roundtable, GE, Lockheed Martin, Oracle, Wal-Mart, Wells Fargo, and Uranium One.

Uranium One is a Canadian mining firm with mines in America. The firm was acquired by the giant Russian agency Rosatom in 2010, thereby giving Russia ownership of a significant share of America’s limited uranium supplies. The takeover of Uranium One by the Russia’s Rosatom drew little attention in the United States. But the Russian newspaper Pravda heralded it as a Russian coup. (Pravda headline: “Russian Nuclear Energy Conquers the World.”)

The Russia uranium deal couldn’t have gone forward without the nod of a multi-agency panel, then chaired by an underling of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The panel’s signoff was required because the federal government lists uranium as a critical national security asset in short supply. The panel approved the deal even though there was an ongoing corruption probe linked to it. They handed Rosatom control of 20 percent of U.S. uranium supply.

Tens of millions of dollars from parties with a financial stake in U.S. approval of the deal flowed into the Clinton Foundation. Also, Bill Clinton was paid $500,000 for a single speech by Moscow-based Renaissance Capital, a Putin-linked investment bank with ties to the Uranium One deal.

The FBI investigated two shadowy figures involved in the deal. One Vadim Mikerin and one Boris Rubizhensky were prosecuted on money-laundering and other charges. They drew prison terms of four years and one year, respectively.

One of the members of the panel that signed off on the uranium deal was then the nation’s top law enforcement official, Obama’s Attorney General, Eric Holder. This was Robert Mueller’s boss at the time, since Mueller was head of the FBI. Under President Clinton, Holder had attended to the legal paperwork regarding Bill Clinton’s pardon of fugitive commodities mogul Marc Rich, who had fled the country to dodge prosecution in a $48 million tax-evasion case. The Rich pardon later came back to haunt Holder when he was nominated by President Obama to be Attorney General. Who stepped forward at the time to publicly defend Holder? None other than James Comey, later appointed FBI Director by Obama. Comey had been the federal lawman assigned to the Marc Rich tax-evasion case and to the investigation of the pardon Bill Clinton and Eric Holder had cooked up for the fugitive multi-millionaire. And, yes, of course, Comey was the G-man who recommended not to pursue charges against Hillary Clinton in the email investigation after outlining a criminal case against her.

William Douglas Campbell worked for Vadim Mikerin who was in charge of the U.S. operations for Tenex, a part of Rosatom. As an informant, Campbell aided federal authorities investigating the Russian official taking bribes from a shipping company in exchange for contracts to transport Russian uranium into the United States.

The Justice Department had also initially charged Vadim Mikerin with extorting kickbacks from Campbell after hiring him as a $50,000-a-month lobbyist. Prosecutors said Mikerin had demanded Campbell pay one-third to a half of that money back to him each month under threat of losing the contract and warnings of violence from the Russians.

The demands and threats of violence prompted Campbell to turn to the FBI for help in 2010, who then asked him to remain part of the scheme and be an informant. Federal prosecutors were ready to use Campbell as a star witness against Mikerin, but they backed away after defense attorneys raised questions about Campbell’s credibility and whether he was a victim or had “entered into a business arrangement with eyes wide open,” according to court records.

“This is a smear job,” said Victoria Toensing, Campbell’s lawyer. “That was not the reason” prosecutors removed him as a witness against Mikerin, she said. Instead, it was because “the Obama administration didn’t want to bring a big extortion case against Russia” and risk testimony from Campbell that would have undermined the Uranium One sale and undercut the president’s efforts to “reset” relations with Russia. So instead, “they covered it up.”

Attorney General Jeff Sessions last year directed federal prosecutors to look into the sale of Uranium One to a Russian company – a transaction that President Trump has called the “real Russia story.”

In January 2018, Mark Lambert, 54, of Mount Airy, Maryland, was charged in an 11-count indictment with one count of conspiracy to violate the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and to commit wire fraud, seven counts of violating the FCPA, two counts of wire fraud and one count of international promotion money laundering.  The charges stem from an alleged scheme to bribe Vadim Mikerin, a Russian official at JSC Techsnabexport (TENEX), a subsidiary of Russia’s State Atomic Energy Corporation and the sole supplier and exporter of Russian Federation uranium and uranium enrichment services to nuclear power companies worldwide, in order to secure contracts with TENEX.

In June 2015, Lambert’s former co-president, Daren Condrey, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to violate the FCPA and commit wire fraud, and Vadim Mikerin pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit money laundering involving violations of the FCPA.  Mikerin is currently serving a sentence of 48 months in prison and Condrey is awaiting sentencing.  The indictment includes allegations against Lambert based on his role in effectuating the criminal scheme with Condrey, Mikerin, and others.

Campbell says that he has “already survived one attempt on my life since it was made public by the Sessions DOJ that I intend to testify.” Campbell claims that if it wasn’t for the fact he was carrying a gun, he would have been killed during a routine daily hike in the hills behind his home. He was surprised by an armed man in the woods, Campbell said he drew his weapon and held the man’s gaze until he disappeared.“I was prepared for any eventuality,” Campbell said, explaining that “the stakes are very high, I understand that. Was this man connected to anybody I plan to testify against? I have no proof. But I can’t take risks, which is why I have gone into hiding until I testify.”

On February 7th, 2018, Campbell testified before a congressional committee about the 2010 sale of Uranium One, where a Russian-backed company bought a uranium firm with mines in the U.S. Campbell gave information to the FBI about what he saw while undercover as an informant including video of briefcases full of money used to bribe US officials.

Congressional committees had previously tried to interview Campbell, as he was undercover for roughly five years, working to get information on Russia’s efforts to grow its atomic energy business in the U.S. They failed to do so because of a gag order placed on Campbell by Loretta Lynch, while she was Obama’s AG.

Campbell alleged that Moscow paid millions of dollars to a lobbying firm APCO to give Bill Clinton’s charities assi$tance in order to influence Hillary Clinton, who was then former President Barack Obama’s secretary of state.

Campbell said Russian nuclear officials “told me at various times that they expected APCO to apply a portion of the $3 million annual lobbying fee it was receiving from the Russians to provide support for the Clinton’s Global Initiative.”

“The contract called for four payments of $750,000 over twelve months,” Campbell said in the statement. “APCO was expected to give assistance to the Clinton Global Initiative as part of their effort to create a favorable environment to ensure the Obama administration made affirmative decisions on everything from Uranium One to the US-Russia Civilian Nuclear Cooperation agreement.”

Campbell’s attorney, Victoria, said the following: “Mr. Campbell testified for over four hours until he answered every question from three Congressional committees; the Senate Judiciary, House Oversight and House Intelligence committees. He recounted numerous times that the Russians bragged that the Clintons’ influence in the Obama administration would ensure CIFIUS approval for Uranium One. And he was right.”

Robert Mueller, the special counsel leading the probe into alleged Russian interference in the election, was the head of the FBI when it investigated Rosatom officials’ extortion and corruption. Mueller personally delivered a uranium sample to Russia in 2009. The investigation was led by then-Assistant FBI Director Andrew McCabe, then-U.S. Attorney Rod Rosenstein. The Investigation was put to an end in 2015 by James Comey.

There is no indication that any of these men ever told Congress of all the incriminating evidence they had discovered and the connection to Clinton. The entire matter was kept secret from the American public. If evidence of bribery, kickbacks, extortion, and money laundering in the Uranium One affair are not grounds for a special prosecutor assigned to investigate Hillary Clinton, what is? Rosenstein and Mueller, by their silence, are unindicted coconspirators in Hillary’s crimes and should be terminated immediately.

The Russian Collusion Narrative, Episode 46

The Russian Trump collusion story as we know it all started on 4chan, an uncensored message board where anything goes. Back in early 2016, someone from the site mailed Rick Wilson, a GOP strategist, some fan-fiction about Donald Trump pissing on hookers in Russia. It was rooted in their desire to get revenge on Rick Wilson for calling Trump supporters “a bunch of childless males masturbating in their basements to anime” on a MSNBC talk show. Rick Wilson gave this “piss dossier” to Christopher Steele, an ex-Cambridge Union president, ex-M.I.6 Moscow field agent, ex-head of M.I.6’s Russia desk, and former adviser to British Special Forces on capture-or-kill ops in Afghanistan.

Christopher Steele was already working on opposition research of Donald Trump for Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson. They had started the research for Paul Singer, owner of the Washington Free Beacon, back in April of 2015. Paul also happened to be a Republican campaign donor of Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio. Also working on the report for Fusion GPS was Nellie Ohr, a Stanford Ph.D. whose expertise is Russian intelligence. Her husband is DOJ Deputy Attorney Bruce Ohr, who was demoted for his part in this scandal. Hillary Clinton, through her lawyer Marc Elias at Perkins Coie, paid Fusion GPS to continue this “research” starting in April 2016. You see once Donald the was Republican Candidate, the money stopped flowing from the Republicans.

They centered the report around the fact the Russians were going to blackmail Trump and make him do stuff in their favor like lift sanctions put in place by Barack Obama. This was later referred to as the “Steele Dossier”. Here’s a interesting bit of information. The Perkins Coie law firm represents Hillary Clinton, Fusion-GPS, Crowdstrike, Starbucks, Facebook, President Obama, George Soros and all of his NGOs, Amazon, and Google. That’s quite the client list.

Glenn Simpson is the co-founder of Fusion GPS. He and his wife Mary Jacoby have written in the past for The Wall Street Journal. Mary said back in June, “It’s come to my attention that some people still don’t realize what Glenn’s role was in exposing Putin’s control of Donald Trump,” Jacoby wrote. “Let’s be clear. Glenn conducted the investigation. Glenn hired Chris Steele. Chris Steele worked for Glenn.” In the past the couple had wrote about Paul Manafort being a corrupt guy who makes his money off bad Russian and Ukrainian people back when he was working with Tony Podesta. Then Manafort joined the Trump campaign for couple months. That was all they needed to start the hunt for evidence of this obvious Russian meddling in the election. Meanwhile Hillary wanted to start another war in Syria, and possibly Russia in the process, and we are supposed to act like Russia wouldn’t rather have a reasonable business man billionaire type in the White House over a psychotic politician who had already made her bad intentions towards Russia very clear. If I were Russia, I’d be pulling for Trump too.

So after months of work, they have a nice thick report full of unnamed sources and uncorroborated stories about Donald Trump. In November, Christopher Steele gives this dossier to an associate of John McCain in an official capacity to “warn the government” about the Trump Russia connection. This all conveniently comes to light after Donald Trump is elected of course. Not a peep of it until after Trump wins. In September 2016, Steele also briefed reporters at CNN, The New Yorker, The New York Times, Yahoo News, and The Washington Post. By January 10th, a couple months later, the Steele dossier was published in BuzzFeed, and the “fake news” term was official coined by our president after CNN had reported the BuzzFeed article as truth, the rest of the news organizations failed to take the bait. Looking back now, you could say that was the beginning of the end for main stream media. I remember it so clearly, the president saying in the news conference, “I’m not going to give you a question, you’re fake news.” to the CNN reporter demanding he get a question since CNN was mentioned in a statement by the president about the Buzzfeed article we are discussing. The press corps laughed. You could hear it clear as day, they all laughed.

Do you know who wasn’t laughing? FISA Court Judge Contreras. The same judge who approved warrant that lead to the wiretapping of General Flynn, Donald Trump, and members of his campaign, based on evidence found in the Steele Dossier. Mary Jacoby had visited the White House back in April 2016, and met with Obama officials. She told them about the research her husband was conducting. In the 10 months after, a lot happened, including the election. The CIA and the FBI had seen the Steele Dossier, and had used it as a reason to unmask Trump campaign team members for political reasons for Obama administration officials like Susan Rice. She was Obama’s national security advisor. You might know her as the woman who lied to us all on the Sunday after the Benghazi attack. She went on ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox News and CNN  and outright lied to us.

She said a youtube video was responsible for the attack on our embassy, and the rape and murder of ambassador Christoper Stevens. Stevens was in Libya to try to buy back anti-aircraft Stinger missiles we “accidentally” sold to terrorists. Ansar Al-Sharia was the terrorist group responsible. The attack on the embassy was a response to the US killing one of their leaders with a drone strike. She knew this when she was on TV lying to us. But I digress, back to the topic at hand.

Christopher Steele turned down 50k from the FBI to verify and reveal his sources, so the FBI knew it was mostly likely false since he refused. It took three FISA court hearings before Judge Contreras agreed to the surveillance due to a lack of evidence in the Steele Dossier. Obama’s Attorney General Loretta Lynch gave special permission for Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya to come to the United States and meet with Donald Trump Jr. at Trump Tower. DTJ’s friends Rob Goldstone, who has connections to Fusion GPS, helped him set up the meeting with the lawyer. It was a bust, she didn’t have anything to offer on Hillary other than hearsay, and she only wanted to discuss the repeal of the Magnitsky Act. She was actually there on behalf of Fusion-GPS, on pro-Kremlin business. You read that right, Russia had hired Fusion GPS to lobby for them to the US government. The Obama administration used that meeting that they allowed to happened between Trump Jr and Veselnitskaya as the final piece of evidence needed to get their FISA surveillance warrant on the Trump campaign just 3 weeks before the election.

This is the same time frame that the DNC leaks are in full swing. Everyone is reading the DNC’s, Hillary’s, and Podesta’s emails. No one is denying that they are real. No one is defending any of the abhorrent, pay-for-play, corrupt business dealings that are happening behind the closed doors of the democratic party. All they want to discuss is how the emails got out, if it was the Russians, and if its even legal to read them. It’s like when your girlfriend catches you cheating and you just get a mad at her for going through your phone. The DNC hired Crowdstrike to investigate them being “hacked”. Crowdstrike was funded with 100 million in Google money and founded by Dmitri Alperovitch, a Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council. The Atlantic Council is an anti-Russia, pro-Ukrainian think tank funded by George Soros and Ukrainian Oligarch Victor Pinchuk. Well surprise surprise, Crowdstrike blames the Russians. The DNC refuses to let the FBI look at their servers to try to confirm who hacked what. No evidence is every produced to show that Russians, or anyone for that matter, hacked anything. Later, Crowdstrike retracts its statement about how there was evidence of Russian hacking, but thats after months of gas lighting, saying it was the Russians who did it.

But it wasn’t the Russians, it was a “Bernie bro” named Seth Rich. Upset that his new job for the Clinton Campaign had exposed him to how the sausage was made. He knew Bernie Sanders got shafted, and the American people were lied to. He didn’t want them to get away with it. So he leaked the emails to Gavin McFayden, a now-deceased investigative journalist, who sent them to the document-dumping web site WikiLeaks. Seth Rich was shot outside his home at 4:20am on July 10th, a couple weeks before the first emails were released on the Wikileaks website. Police say it was a botched robbery, even though nothing was taken. The news made no mention of a major campaign employee being murdered. The DNC quietly dedicated a bike rack to him and moved on. Julian Assange himself has hinted that Seth Rich is in fact their source for the DNC leaks, but its their policy to never reveal their sources, so he wont come right out and say it. Meanwhile, the main stream news repeats over and over that Russia is responsible for the leaks and gave the emails to Wikileaks as if it were fact. Ignoring all the evidence that says otherwise, and offering no evidence to the contrary other then the Steele Dossier.

So how did the Steele Dossier get into the hands of the FBI, and the CIA? David Kramer, a former State Department official and current senior director at the nonprofit McCain Institute flew to London in November 2016 and picked up a copy. John McCain then gave it to Bruce Ohr at the FBI. Bruce tasked Peter Strzok with investigating the dossier. He was the FBI agent who was in charge of Hillary’s email investigation. He granted Huma Abedin and Cheryl Mills immunity after interviewing them. He helped craft the wording in James Comey’s exoneration of Hillary Clinton. He was the one who interviewed General Flynn. He was hired by former FBI Director Robert Mueller to lead the FBI investigative effort into the “Russian Election Collusion Conspiracy.” He was then removed from this position after an Inspector General found hundreds of anti-Trump text conversations to a FBI lawyer he was having an affair with, Lisa Page. She was the one who argued the FISA case to wiretap the Trump Campaign, based on evidence from the Steele Dossier. One of the texts from Strzok said, ”I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in [Deputy Director Andrew McCabe’s] office—that there’s no way [Trump] gets elected—but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk. It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40…”. They are talking about the Russian collusion narrative. This was their “insurance policy” in the unlikely event Donald Trump was elected president. Strzok’s boss Bill Priestap was the one who approved the use of the dossier.

The FBI had the Steele dossier long before McCain showed up with it in. Christopher Steele had been giving both the FBI and the CIA copies since the beginning. If that was so, why didn’t they let the American people know that one of the presidential candidates might be working for the Kremlin? Maybe it’s because they knew the dossier was fake. Maybe they underestimated Donald Trump and middle America, and didn’t take the threat seriously. Maybe they assumed the worst, that Donald Trump was a Russian puppet, and they decided that was still better than Hillary. The point is, the heads of the CIA and the FBI were aware of everything from the beginning, and did nothing. So they are either incredibly incompetent, or the dossier is not true.

Everyone at the FBI reports to acting AG Rod Rosenstein. After Trump won, Rosenstein appointed Robert Mueller to head up the investigation into Trump-Russia collusion, which was created with a fake Dossier, paid for by the Clinton Campaign. The Clinton Campaign paid Perkins Coie, who paid Fusion GPS, who paid Christopher Steele, who paid unnamed Russian sources for information. That sure sounds like Hillary Clinton paid Russians for dirt on Trump. The very thing they are accusing Trump of doing to Hillary. As of now, Mueller has spent over 6.7 million of our tax dollars on this “investigation”, and it’s not over yet. This is the same Robert Mueller who was the FBI director on 9/11. The same Robert Mueller who delivered uranium samples to Russia during the Uranium One scandal where we sold a third of our uranium to a Russia, but only after then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her cronies were bribed with 145 million dollars.

There is no Russia collusion conspiracy involving Donald Trump. He’s a narcissistic billionaire. He’s not being bribed or blackmailed by Russians. He is determined to be Reagan 2.0 on steroids and go down as the best President ever. The Russian narrative is a very convenient distraction from any real issues though. As long as we are all hating each other, and accusing one another of being a Nazi, or a libtard, the deep state wins. It’s been nearly 3 months and we still know nothing about Las Vegas, where 58 people died trying to enjoy a concert. Not one surveillance photo of Stephen Paddock entering the hotel or being in Las Vegas at all. Even though Vegas has more cameras than anywhere in the world, somehow they all missed Stephen Paddock. The FBI is now saying it will be next October, a full year, before we get any answers.

Everyone would rather argue about whether the Russians gave Wikileaks all those emails in an effort to get Donald Trump elected. Everyone knows that’s not true, but it sounds good doesn’t it? It’s the go-to talking point anytime anyone tries to point out what’s in those emails, and how corrupt Hillary is. The country is so divided, I don’t see a future that doesn’t involve one side getting crushed. How do we dial it back from this? Someone has got to win the culture war, before there is a civil war. As long as all sides think they are right, and aren’t forced to confront reality, it will never end. Everyone is just hunkered down in their opinions, waiting to be proven correct. We need action. We need to lock her up, or someone at least. The left needs to realize they lost. Donald J. Trump is our President. No amount of screaming and crying will change that.
